Enjoy opera's lighter side with our 5th Cinballera Salon of 2026, Songs from Operettas! Join us on the 3rd Monday of the month, June 15, at 7 PM at the Villa Montezuma, 1925 K Street, San Diego.

Operetta could be called the fun younger sibling of grand opera. It has the melodies, music, and magic without all the tragedy! With waltzes from Vienna, comedie from Paris, patter from London, and catchy tunes from America, this journey through operetta repertoire will be an exciting trip! You'll hear operetta's greatest hits alongside obscure gems, with lots of heart and humor.

In keeping with the Villa's gracious history, we encourage our guests to dress up for the evening! Gentlemen, dust off your favorite suit and tie, and ladies, here's a chance to wear that dress and hat you've been saving! For June, dress up as your favorite operetta character!
